Van Dyke Browns

Hoover Color Corporation offers a variety of Van Dyke type pigments which are used extensively in the stain industry. Imported Van Dyke Brown from Germany is available, along with a well-established substitute, 778BN Brown. The substitute has better dispersion characteristics and color consistency than the real Van Dyke. Hoover Color Corporation has recently introduced a water soluble extract derived from Van Dyke Brown: our 925 Brown. This new material should help stain manufacturers develop better water-based stains in order to deal with tighter environmental regulations.
