Burnt Umbers
Hoover Color’s Burnt Umbers are naturally occurring Brown Iron Oxides that range in color from a deep brown to a rich black. As with all Iron Oxide Pigments, Burnt Umbers are permanent and light fast. They possess excellent heat stability and chemical resistance. Burnt Umber can be used as a transparent pigment and often used to produce brown colored furniture finishes, such as Walnut. Their neutral tones also often find use in colorant systems. Hoover Color offers a variety of twelve standard Burnt Umbers.
