Hoover Color’s SYN-OX Black Iron Oxides are synthetic Black Iron Oxides, which can range in color from a mild charcoal to a deep carbon black. As with all Iron Oxide Pigments, SYN-OX Black Iron Oxides are permanent and light fast. They possess limited heat stability, but show excellent chemical heat resistance. Hoover Color offers two standard SYN-OX Iron Oxides. |

HB-1094 Black Iron Oxide (C.I. Pigment Black 11) - A deep jet black which has excellent wetting, dispersion and suspension properties, along with high hiding power. Construction Grades - These products are not ground to the fineness of our “General Use” Grades. While they still exhibit the same coloring & physical properties of other grades, these products may require more processing in order to thoroughly mix or disperse them. |
